The Exits Are Finally Set For Forthcoming Release

Criminal Records is excited to announce that The Exits, electro-rock mavericks and one of the label’s key acts, are back in the studio recording their first album with their new drummer.  Currently on a three album deal, the band were making steady progress before feuding nearly resulted in the total split of the band.

The Exits first came to prominence with a one-two of explosive tracks, ‘Neon City’ and ‘You Gotta Help Me Out’, which got them featured on MTV’s Dirty Sanchez series, earned them front page recommendations on HMV, iTunes and 7digital where they also earned track of the week with downloads taking them to No. 2 in their charts.  The video was received equally well, with Q tracks playlisting on Sky TV, and support from a number of more credible indie channels including Kicks TV and Channel 28.

Their forthcoming single hits up two long term gig classics in a double A: ‘You Gotta Help Me Out’ and ‘Trip’.  While ‘YGHMO’ has a more heavily synthesised, dance orientated feel, ‘Trip’ reflects another side of the band, with a more laid back Primal Scream-esque progressive indie sound.

MD at Criminal shared enthusiasm for the band too “yes, for an underground band, their radio exposure has certainly been impressive so far including BBC London, Radio 1 Northern Ireland and Kerrang Radio, where they were highlighted as ones to watch.  We are really thrilled to get them back on track again.. band ups and downs are all part of the parcel with The Exits.”

Other significant news saw the The Exits receive the ‘Golden Plectrum Award’ for ‘Best Song’ and frontman Ray was awarded ‘Sexiest Male’ in the regional ceremony by long term supporters of the band, Express FM in their hometown, Portsmouth.
